As a charitable organisation the Incorporated Society relies on donations and grants to preserve this beautiful Category 2 building for future generations. Special thanks are due to the Waimakariri District Council for their recent grant to cover essential electrical work. This refurbishment has already improved electrical safety for the building and its users.

There’s one thing you should know - never ask me to draw a map. But one person you can definitively rely on - Liz from @parallaxfilmz 💯

We needed a floor plan for our NCW Open Day to ensure all our vendors can fit in nicely and Liz put her hand up.

I met her at @darjonvineyard this morning and she came armed with some awesome equipment. To create what we needed, the floor plan, she took her machine on a 3D Virtual Tour of the building! And I’ve already received the plan back!💥

I’m now addicted to what she does and have found out she can make even cooler things for people with a shop or a showroom, which can link through to their website or online store!

I’ll show you my favourite one they recently made which blew me away! It’s the coolest virtual tour! In fact, Parallax did all the photography for this website too. Check it out!

So, why an "open day" and not a "wedding fair" or "wedding expo"? Well, we've already got "wedding" in our name - and we're also a bit unique - because we're a whole crew of vendors from the same website and location - so, it really IS an open day - and you're invited!

Come on out to Swannanoa and breathe in the beautiful North Canterbury air - perhaps you'll need the fresh air after a big night watching the All Blacks the night before 😉

Something pretty interesting is happening at our open day - we're putting on a live bridal shoot! Well, five actually 😅💘

You'll see models getting ready with @kelly_sheppard_hair_artist and they'll be wearing gowns by @sarahstoutebespoke. They're absolutely gorgeous dresses!

Over the three hours of our open day, five of our photographers will be taking our models around spaces at Darjon for photos - 30 minutes for each shoot. It's a great chance for you to see professionals in their element.

It's going to be pretty fun!

This year's North Canterbury Weddings' Open Day is being hosted by Darjon Vineyard but we have NINE other glorious venues right here in North Canterbury - who will host our open days over the next nine years 😉🥰💘

Take a moment to see them on the map 📍
1. @tipapawoolshed - be sure to check their socials as they have a wedding open day coming up on 1st October!
2. @waimak_classic_cars Event Centre - actually, you'll get to meet their events manager Sally at our open day out the front of Darjon with a couple of classic cars.
3. @brickmill_cafe - open most days for GREAT coffee! Also, keep an eye on our socials as we have a little announcement about BMC coming soon 😉
4. Ashley Community Church - a beautiful listed heritage building perfect for a wedding. They've recently trimmed the cherry trees to create a frame for the front of the church. It's going to look beautiful in spring!
5. @bramblegrove17 - one of our micro wedding venues. Be sure to give Liz a call. She loves showing people around her lovely property.
6. Kaiapoi Golf Club - a great space for golf lovers with onsite catering!
7. @rosemountweddings - also owned by Meris and Phil from Darjon, so you'll be able to find out more about this venue at the open day.
8. @harpershomestead - an absolutely beautiful venue and definitely one to pop on your list for a 'must view'.
9. @twobecomeone.weddings - a perfect space for a garden wedding, which also has a forest on site. Makes for truly lovely wedding photos 💘
